Script cover page (Crawford Collection at the AFI Research Collection)
      Extent: 66p.
      (Manuscript) assertion
      Note/s:
      • The script is labelled on the cover page 'Episode no. 03456'. There is no indication on the cover page of to whom this copy of the script was designated. The cover page indicates that filming took place between 9/12/74 and 13/12/74 (film) and 18/12/74 and 20/12/74 (live).
      • The script's cover page includes a list of crew members:
        Director: John Barningham.
First assistant director: Mark De Friest.
        Cameraman: Ken Ophel.
        Sound recordist: Peter Aarons.
        Continuity: Fran Haarsma.
        Make-up: Viv Mepham.
        Unit manager: Mick Mills.
        Production assistant: Helen Molnar.
        Floor manager: William Templer.
      • The cover page also reflects the changing nature of production with the following note to 'all cast':
'WARDROBE: The following are not acceptable for colour transmission so please do NOT wear: -
'WHITE at all times on all garments.
'RED, MAROON, BLACK VELVET, PALE BLUE, PALE LIME GREEN.
'"BUSY" patters [sic] on all garments - STRIPES, HERRINGBONE, etc.'
      • The script is typed on thin white paper, and annotated throughout with liquid paper. The annotations are fairly minor, and look to be more at the level of copy editing: for example, see page 15, where Banner's name has been struck out of a scene, and then the stage directions covered in liquid paper and his name reinserted.

Under some of the liquid paper, earlier annotations in ink are discernable (see, for example, page 17). In some instances (see, for example, page 42), white stickers have been applied to the page and then typed over.

Pages 51 to 53 inclusive are typed on heavier paper, as are pages 56 to 58 inclusive and pages 60 to 62 inclusive.
