BiographyHistory

Poet, essayist and novelist Kevin Brophy was educated by Jesuits and later studied literature and psychology at the University of Melbourne. His poetry has been widely anthologised and he has reviewed regularly for Reading Time. Brophy has published a number of study guides on contemporary fiction and is co-founder and co-editor of Going Down Swinging. He has also contributed book notes for Victorian Council of Adult Education Reading Groups.

Brophy has been an Associate Professor, teaching creative writing, at the University of Melbourne and has supervised many developing Australian writers.
