Her work on adult productions includes scripts for Always Greener, Fireflies, and Rush. Most significant, perhaps, was her role as a core member of the writing team for Love My Way: her script for episode eight of series one was nominated for a Queensland Premier's Literary Award and won an AWGIE Award for Best Screenplay in a Television Drama (her second AWGIE for a screenplay).
Fox worked with British writer Chris Chibnall on the short-lived 2011 series Camelot, a lavish re-working of the legend of King Arthur, for which Fox wrote almost half the scripts. Her collaboration with Chibnall will continue in the forthcoming British production Broadchurch (due to air in 2013), in which a young boy's murder threatens to tear his small coastal community apart. Fox also wrote scripts for Lucas Films' live-action Star Wars series, which has (according to George Lucas) been scripted but has not yet been produced or released.
Fox's writing for the stage began in 1992 with Es Brent for the Gilgul Theatre. Her other scripts for live performance include adaptations of Molière's Tartuffe; or, The Imposter (Malthouse Theatre, 2008), Dario Fo's Elizabeth: Almost By Chance a Woman (adapted with Luke Devinish for Malthouse Theatre in 2010 and the Queensland Theatre Company in 2012), and Kafka's The Trial (a co-production between Malthouse Theatre, the Sydney Theatre Company, and Thin Ice, Perth, 2010).
Fox's script-writing for film began in 1998 with the short film Help Me. She followed this in 2005 with a second short film, A Natural Talent, for which she won Best Australian Short Film at Flickerfest, and was nominated for both an AWGIE Award (Best Short Film) and an AFI Award (Best Short Film). Her most recent film script is the adaptation of Christos Tsiolkas's Dead Europe, for which she has been shortlisted for a Queensland Literary Award and The Age Critics' Award for Best Australian Feature.
