    Note: Editor's note: The wrong that Kipling wrought - no, the example that Kipling gave Australasia with his racy verses is evidently going to be infinitely extended. It is some time since we took refuge in verse, but, as we observed that vehicle of expression for many years - so many, in fact, that our friends were beginning to look askance at us - we have no compunction in letting the daylight in on the budding muse of a companion in crime.
