This 'author' has been created to bring together the significant amount of verse and prose published anonymously in the numerous newspapers that flourished through the 1890s and into the 1920s in the goldfields area of Western Australia. Between 1892 and 1909 no less than sixty newspapers came into being in the goldfields towns. Forty-three began publication before 1900. Of the original sixty goldfields newspapers, only nine were in existence by the early 1920s.
