Notes

  • A brief report on author Myra Morris, who had just returned to Melbourne on the ship Esperence Bay, having spent a number of months in England. Per the report : 'Miss Morris said that although a number of Australian writers were doing well in London, there was great difficulty in getting publishers to take the works of Australian authors. English people generally were reading more light literature in place of the classics'.
