BiographyHistory

Writer and illustrator, John Lewis Clark attended Framlingham Aboriginal Settlement School. During his youth, John had moved around various parts of Victoria.

His literary career was sparked by his completion of his Koorie Art and Design Course at the Gordon TAFE college in Geelong. John's short stories and poems had been published by Penguin, Australian Short Stories and the ABC, and his poetry in Yarmbler Magazine and Australian Short Stories. His first children's picture book Molly the Grey Kangaroo and the Bush Clean-Up Crew (2004) was published by Black Ink Press after his story board won the Black Ink Indigenous writing and illustrating award.
