1 Always Douglas Alice Ellis , 1882 single work short story
— Appears in: The Australian Journal , September vol. 18 no. 208 1882; (p. 27-29)
The faithful love of youthful cousins is disturbed when Douglas takes an appointment in India. After three years his letters cease and Carry Sherwood agrees to marry Lord Sudley. Only after the engagement does she truly know her betrayal, and when Douglas returns she falls ill and he is thrown from his horse and killed. Competent introspective romance. (PB)
