BiographyHistory

Wayne Ashton came to Western Australia with his family in his teens. He has also written an award winning radio drama The Aunt. His first series of oil paintings were exhibited in Perth in 1988 and since then he has held more than ten solo exhibitions, and has shown in numerous mixed exhibitions. Recent exhibitions were in London (Mall galleries) and New York (Gelabert Studio, Broadway). In July 2003 an exhibition of recent paintings opened at Gadfly Gallery in Perth. His work is represented in collections in London, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Auckland.
