BiographyHistory

Marion Campbell holds degrees from the universities of Western Australia and Provence. She has worked as a Tutor in French, and in Writing and Literature at Murdoch University. She has been a Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Melbourne. Her literary papers are held at the Australian Defence Force Academy (MSS G299).

Campbell's writing encompasses a number of genres, including poetry, drama, shorter and novel length fiction and literary criticism. Her approach has been described as postmodern and feminist, and reflects a range of thematic interests, such as language, mythology, artistic imagery and humorous forms.

In 2018, Campbell was supervising graduate writing projects at Deakin University. Her publications that year included an experimental memoir Man on the Mantepiece, and a poetry collection, Third Body.
