BiographyHistory

Samuel Pootchemunka rescued Eva Pootchemunka (q.v.) and her daughter Beulah from a crocodile attack on the 3rd of August 1953 in Northern Queensland. He was awarded the Humane Society of Australasia's Silver Medal for the courage he displayed. Pootchemunka is the grandfather of Pat Pootchemunka (q.v.)
