BiographyHistory

'Jude Davies trained as a teacher in Adelaide but set off travelling instead of teaching. She eventually became outstation teacher in a remote indigenous community in Arnhem Land at the beginning of the outstation movement in 1975. She lived and taught there for two and a half years before travelling again for several years and finally settling in Melbourne. She has written numerous articles for various publications including the Age and News Limited. In 2000 she won a travel writing competition and was awarded a luxury tour of Rajasthan India.'
