Willoberta Jack, also known as Murturta lived in the Northern Territory near Kurundi Station where his wife worked.

Harry Henty tried to steal Willoberta Jack's wife from him and Willoberta Jack subsequently shot him dead in self defence and hid for a number of years. After some time he handed himself in to the police and was sent to Darwin for trial and was acquitted. Upon returning to Alice Springs, Willoberta Jack was died from ingesting poisoned flour.
