BiographyHistory

Philomena Barry is an artist and storyteller from Bwgoman which is also know as Palm Island. Her father was a fisherman near Cooktown in Queensland who was arrested by the police and brought to Palm Island in the 1920s. Barry worked as a nurse before she was married.
