BiographyHistory

The memories of Thomas Darby on Moogoorie Station are of a tough and cruel period in his working life. Ill treatment of Thomas and other Aboriginal workers was an accepted part of life on the station. Thomas Darby needed a citizenship card to be able to purchase beer and received one. It was an offence to let anyone else use but Thomas would still lend it to his friends. Thomas was a horse breaker and sheep musterer during his working life. Thomas was married twice and moved to Mungullah Village.
