BiographyHistory

Alitj Ambrose Piyalam was born at Ngindjirridi in the Northern Territory and belongs to the Marri Ngarr people on his mother's side. On his father's side, Piyalam has connections to Wangga people. Piyalam has danced at ceremonies through the Northern Territory and his dance is known as the 'Walakandha Wangga A Sjinmel' or 'Seagull Wangga'. Piyalam has also worked as a language advisor.
