Patricia Hill-Wall, sister of Sandra Hill, was removed from her family at age two with three siblings. The children were sent to Sister Kate's Home in Perth, returned to their family and then taken again to sister Kate's. Hill-Wall was fostered at the age of seven to a family with whom she stayed with until she was an adult. During this time, Hill-Wall was able to visit her sisters as the foster parents knew each other. In her late twenties, Hill-Wall met her birth parents again. Her mother is Doreen Hill.
Hill-Wall worked in a hospital, and then with the State Housing authority before completing her training as a police officer in Queensland. She has undertaken studies in Social Work at the University of Queensland.
Hill-Wall's story was recorded by the National Library of Australia for the Bringing Them Home oral history project and appeared in the associated publication Many Voices: Reflections on experiences of Indigenous child separation, edited by Doreen Mellor and Anna Haebich (2002).
