BiographyHistory

Keith Aubrey Thorne was born in Collarenebri April 8, 1938. His mother was Ida Murphy and his father was Colin Thorne. He worked as a fettler on the railways for thirty-five years. In the 1970s Keith won a prize in the Walgett Shire Garden Business Houses Competition for his garden at Walgett Railway Station. Now retired, Keith spends time in his garden growing fruit trees and flowers.
