BiographyHistory

Jinnie Stewart was taken from her family in the Maryborough area when she was seven and sent to Cairns and from there to Yarrabah Mission. Stewart married when she was eighteen years old. After Stewart married her husband, they ran away from Yarrabah mission. She looked after their four boys, while her husband worked.

Stewart is the grandmother of John Stewart (q.v.).
