The Handy Man, Gertrude Hart , single work short story

'Scott Hardisty's car broke down on Christmas Eve, when he was still some distance from The Oaks, and the cheery party awaiting him there. But in this story GERTRUDE HART shows that even Christmas Eve accidents may be blessings in disguise.'
