BiographyHistory

Benjamin D. Muir holds a Doctorate from Western Sydney University, with a dissertation on depictions of grief and trauma in Mark Z. Danielewski’s House of Leaves.

In addition to works listed on AustLit, he is the author of non-fiction works on local political and urban environments (drawing on his experience at Western Sydney University’s Urban Transformations Research Centre) and international authors, including Italian author Girogio De Maria.

His debut novel, The Macmillan Diaries, won the AAWP Chapter One Prize in 2019, and was scheduled for publication through Kith Books in 2025.
