BiographyHistory

NT Dance Company is Indigenous-owned, and Company in Residence at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. The company was formed from the creative vision of Gary Lang, Indigenous Larrakia man, choreographer, dancer, and Artistic Director. NT Dance Company's Darwin-based professional dancers are of Aboriginal, Filipino, Torres Straits Islander, African and Anglo heritage.

Key objectives of the company are to achieve the highest level of quality dance creation, production and performance; and to train, mentor and provide opportunities for professional dancers in the Northern Territory. They also work with the Australian Red Cross to deliver youth rehabilitation programs and dance workshops to disadvantaged Indigenous youth in remote NT communities.
