'The Hurtin' Kind is inspired by actual events in the Melbourne underworld and will feature real-life characters involved in the story (including Mark "Chopper" Read), as well as some international actors including Thea Gill (Queer As Folk) and John Savage, who will shoot their scenes in LA. Rap/hip hop artist Damon Dizzle is music supervisor and will source Australian hip hop to be included amongst the international tracks.' (Source: Inside Film website.)
