AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A short-lived and now unfortunately obscure children's television program that follows a hapless alien's progress through the world. Having transformed his spaceship into a red-brick suburban house, the alien brings in a human flatmate to help him navigate everyday life. The tension usually derived from unexpected guests and/or the presence of the spaceship's artifially intelligent computer.

The program regularly featured guest stars, both Australian actors and local bands. It was filmed in front of a live studio audience of schoolchildren; actors regularly broke the fourth wall to speak directly to the audience, and the cameras would also be angled to show audience reaction.

The program has never been released on DVD, but a few minutes of an episode are available to watch via YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxyBDEwzGsk (Sighted: 19/4/2012)
