- Miss Gracie Paisted, prima donna of the Harding's Opera Company has pleased the residents of Herberton so much that they have presented her with a diamond bracelet. The company is expected in Cairns next Saturday and will open on Monday evening with Manteaux Noir.
- The Cairns Post has appointed Mr Frank Gibson, from Sydney, as editor. Mr Gibson will take charge of the literary department of the paper. The paper has taken this step because of its increasing circulation amongst the intelligent section of the community and the probability that the paper will move to two issues per week.
- The School of Arts committee meeting again failed to attract a quorum last night. Such culpable neglect of duty is reprehensible.
