AbstractHistoryArchive Description

  • The case of criminal libel, contained in the form of a prayer, which was laid again E. C. M. Draper, editor of the Cairns Chronicle, came up for hearing on 11 January, but was dismissed because the exact wording of the libel was not stated. A new hearing will be held on 18 January.
  • Miss Wheeler will present another concert in aid of the hospital on 27 January and a crowded house is anticipated. Reserved seats will be separated from the rest of the hall to avoid the confusion that has occurred previously.
