A short piece imagining an encounter between the Doctor (an unspecified regeneration), Gertrude Stein, and Alice B. Toklas in Paris in 1938. The story's prose style mimics that of Stein.

The story is contenxtualised by an epigraph reading 'Found amongst the papers of Professor B. S. Summerfield, with this note (in the professor's hand): "Doctor had this. Credited to a Miss Stein, Paris, 1938. Must talk to him about it."'
