AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The author recalls the lives and experiences of Vietnamese women affected by the war. In the post-war period, Vietnamese women carried out the role of bread-winners as their husbands and fathers were in re-education camps . In their escape by boat, many women and young girls were raped as the price for freedom.
