AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A lazy young man idles his days away in watching ships come and go in the harbour, and in drinking. However, having fallen victim to a crafty barmaid, he wakes from a drugged sleep to find himself on board ship as part of the crew. Many years pass and the man, having caught wind of a gold strike in one of the ports visited, has turned his fortune around. A chance re-encounter with the conniving woman offers him the opportunity to avenge himself and have justice prevail.
