'One of Queensland's most renowned literary journalists, David Rowbotham, died on Wednesday, aged 86. His long association with The Courier-Mail began in 1955 when he was a literary and theatre critic, and he went on to become chief book reviewer, arts editor and literary editor before he retired in 1987.'
