AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'A young man, addicted to lighting fires, has been institutionalised. His confinement is barren. Life only exists in the puddles of light that spill across the floor. Isolated, he retreats to the memories of his abusive father and his addictions. Adapted from the short story by Anna Krien, 'Flicking the Flint' combines text, movement, visual imagery and an original electronic score to create a cinematic landscape that explores the underbelly of the Australian consciousness.'
