A short note on the delay in publication of Arden's Sydney Magazine due to '... the difficulty the illustrator has found in completing his share of the work. The sketch has been ready on the stone for some time, but owing to the difficulty of working off the impressions, and the scrupulous care of both the Editor and Illustrator not to issue inferior copies, the subscribers have had some time to wait.'

An advertisement, inserted by the Proprietor of Arden's Sydney Magazine, about the delay is published in the Observer of 20 September, 1843, p.1312 and in the Australasian Chronicle on the same date, p.2.
