AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The author argues that 'the music of The Triffids challenges our usual conception of the relation between popular taste and pop history, it is not just the case that this band could be regarded as singular in its unique combination of styles ... it also took those styles and submitted them to internal variation.' (304-305)
