AbstractHistoryArchive Description

Willowee discusses the advice offered in The Technique of the Love Affair by 'A Gentlewoman'. The author argues being in love is a desire for possession and that women must avoid infatuation at all costs, rather they should learn to use a range of techniques to make a man fall in love with them. Flirtation is seen as a means to practise these techniques and 'A Gentlewoman' advises embarking on as many flirtations as possible.
