AbstractHistoryArchive Description
An old man recalls a story, told to him in his youth by an old, Irish bullock driver, of trying to get a team of twenty-two bullocks across the flooded Cooper Creek. The bullocky was exceedingly proud of his strong team which surmounted their fear to cross the water and, as the bullocky noticed on looking back, drag the creek off its course.
