This short story competition was sponsored by The Australian Journal and broadcast on radio 3UZ and 3DB Melbourne. Readers and audiences listened to the introduction of a story and were invited to provide a conclusion. The radio segment was broadcast between 8 and 9pm from Monday, 29 June to Wednesday, 8 July. Winners were announced in the August edition, and published in the September issue.
