AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'"Avast" is The Black Lung Theatre's monstrous, manic and metatheatrical first part of the saga; a relentless assault on the senses - a nightmare of insincerity and fraternal hatred made flesh, replete with excretes cuss words and senseless boasting.

"Avast - The Welsman Cometh'' - From the North, he glimpsed a great column of dust rising. Again, the stink of carrion fresh from battle had saturated his clothes, a stench that would remain in them ever after. He was bone tired, sick of war, sick of its futility, sick of its pointless waste. It surrounded him. The screams and moans of the dead and the dying rang in his ears; their blood stained his mail and tunic. Nothing could tear his eyes, his mind away...until now!'
