Described as a 'comedietta' by its author, the action of this playlet takes place in a city tea room just after closing time.
According to a local newspaper, it 'dealt with the outwitting of a fortune teller who had been the means of separating a cafe manager and his wife, and of their reunion after the wife had secretly overhear the conversation between the two conspirators and the defeated woman'.

Cast: Mr H. N. Gregory (Conroy, the Cafe Manager), Amy Reding (Linda, his sister-in-law, acting as a waitress), Miss Wheeler (Loo, a housemaid), Miss A. Flight (Lorne, the manager's wife), and Miss C. Malgrem (Madame Fortuna, a fortune teller).
Presented with A Dramatic Interlude by W. Nelson as part of a 'Drama night' put on for members of the Australian Literature Society.
