Cora Pearl (Emma Elizabeth Crouch 1835?-1886) was born in London but educated in a French convent school. She returned to Paris, engaging in a series of liaisons with notable Frenchmen. The longest of her liaisons was with Prince Napoleon; she also entertained the Prince of Wales. Cora Pearl had literary ambitions and published a story in Ficelles Litteraires.
