'Hung Ly was a Vietnamese boy living on the Cremornes' farm. He found their young daughter Gemma annoying, and desperately missed his mother. When Hung decided to run away to Melbourne to find his mother, the last thing he wanted was Gemma tagging along. But a friendship developed between them as their trek continued, through many incidents, toward a dramatic end. By then, Hung found himself involved in another important search.' (Back cover.)
