Notes

  • After working with the New South Wales Police Force, Sakurovs wrote an account of his experiences and the corruption he had encountered. Unable to find a publisher, he offered the manuscript to the Mitchell Library, under the title 'Nemesis Dissected'.
    'Vortex is a dramatised version of same, with some poetic licence, but all the events described herein are based on actual experience and knowledge.' (Introduction, p. iii)
