Nila.Ngany - Possessing/Belonging to Knowledge : Indigenous Knowledge Systems in Yawuru Aboriginal Australia, Pat Torres , single work criticism
Pat Mamanyjun Torres writes: "until Indigenous scholars participate in the knowledge-building that occurs in white mainstream educational institutions, we will always be the objects of study in the 'them v. us' dichotomy of difference' (23). In this essay Torres explains how knowledge-building occurred for her in the Yawuru context. She particularly emphasises the storytelling she experienced as a child.
