A burlesque of the musical The Maid of the Mountains, which had begun its long Australian season in Melbourne on 22 January 1921.

  • 1921: Arcadia Theatre, St Kilda, Melbourne; 2-8 April.

    • Director/Producer Pat Hanna; Music Director George Powell.
    • Troupe The Famous Digger.
    • Cast G. P. Hanna, Lance Fairfax, Syd Exton, Will Crawford, Ethel Hartley, Clarice Norman, George Long, Johnny Marks, George Wright, Roy Simpson, Norman French, Chris Kilner, Victor Cross, Charles Steward.
    • Maid of the Mountebacks was staged during the troupe's farewell week at the Arcadia. They followed this with a three-night 'Grand Request' season at the Melbourne Town Hall before continuing on to Tasmania and New Zealand.
