Eric Porter Studios

Sydney John Kay

Release Dates:

1950

Notes:

1. The release dates for Rabbit Stew vary depending on the source. Catalogue records published via Libraries Australia indicate, for example, the years 1930 and ca. 1940. Several websites devoted to animation also propose 1952 as a release date. The year 1950 is sourced from the Lobster Films (q.v.) website (sighted 15/10/09). The site, which provides the most detail found to date on the cartoon, also indicates that the length is six minutes and eight seconds (not the seven minutes indicated generically by other sources).
2. Rabbit Stew is remarkably similar in a number of respects to the Warner Brother's Merry Melodies animated cartoon series, Bugs Bunny.
