Argues for reservations for Aborigines: "Such an end of the survivor of a doomed race will be more in consonance with the tenets of a religion of justice and mercy than that he should be suffered to perish by the wayside, an impoverished outcaste, debased by the vices of civilization, and bereft of every savage virtue".
