A Buccaneer Romance, Edith Mary England , single work prose
The story of buccaneer Harry Morgan and the sack of Panama. Amongst his prisoners was the beautiful Spanish wife of a wealthy merchant. Morgan let her go without ransom, apparently out of respect for her pride. Morgan later became Sir Harry Morgan, was Lieutenant-Governor of Jamaica and served in the Legislative Council. He died in Jamaica in 1688.
