Notes

  • The umbrella title Ring of Unicorns was only imposed on the series for the 2005 Palindrome Publishing editions: it was not applied to the original two novels (now numbers one and two in the series) when they were first published in 1969 and 1974.

Although part of an overarching series, the books also fall into smaller, self-contained series: the first three form a trilogy, and the subsequent four are two connected duos.

  • The series website notes two further books: Pheonix [sic] Amok and The Spotting of the Yale. Both of these books appear to have been published online in PDF form: no other form of publication has been traced so far.
