Notes

  • Dedication: In memory of my younger Anzac son, called to a higher service on the road of sacrifice. Sergeant Edric Doyle Kidson, 12th Battalion of the Immortal 3rd Brigade.
  • Preface: The following poems are written by a mother of Anzacs, and express the stirring qualities of Australian women who have been ready and willing to send their sons forth to fight for the freedom of the world and to protect all that we know and hold dear in Australia. Mrs Kidson's poems truly express the sentiment of a womanly woman of Australia.
