AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'"Froth and Bubble," which is set in the back country of Queensland, has a background of station life. In it is told how Ted Barlow, a typical young Australian, gains self-reliance and wisdom in a very rough school. Mr. Lamond knows the country, and knows its people. He is as much at home in a breathless account of stampeding cattle as he is in portraying the character of the man "outback," who is often more difficult to handle than the cattle. "Froth and Bubble" is a first-class story of hard life in a hard country.'
