The Kurbingui Star is a Zillmere, Brisbane community newspaper covering Indigenous specific information such as local events, employment, education, training opportunities, health information, bereavements, engagements and weddings.

It was set up in February 2003 as a Community Jobs Plan Project within Kurbingui Youth Development, with the aim of training Indigenous people, in all aspects of production and distribution of a newspaper.
